I've done some retouching on proportions and also added a book in the background to fill some empty space and here is how it looks so far...
This is another assignment that is finished that was done in class...a still life of balloons and bags!
Tonight in Sculpture 1 class I broke the mold of the plaster mold we had made and then poured the final mold plaster into the other mold which seems like a really strange process, but it actually is quite interesting after seeing the final result. It's almost sort of like cracking open an egg and discovering something inside!
Here is a photograph of the mold before breaking it open.
This is the mold after being broken and discovering my sculpture inside!
This was a really cool assignment idea I had in my Drawing 2 class at Kent State University. Each student chose a paper bag with items inside of it. The assignment is to be done in charcoal and using eraser to strengthen the contrast between shadow and light. Here is how my assignment is going so far...
The sunshine is bright and beautiful today and oh so very welcoming to these days when we're accustomed to ice and snow. I joined a local gym yesterday and look forward to having 24 hour access to it. The main reason of joining is the fact when I want to run on my treadmill its often later in the night. My neighbor wouldn't appreciate it much since I live in a apartment so I decided to join a gym for a while. It will be nice to go to until the days grow longer and warmer to run once again outside!
I'm happy today more than I have been in a long time. :-) I hope to post some new artwork soon!

I'm so thankful today for so many reasons. This world is such a marvelous place and we have each and everyday to discover, create and find something new.
